Toshiba air conditioning: Haori vs Seiya
Toshiba is the quietly excellent alternative — strong inverter tech, and two very different units depending on your priorities.
Toshiba doesn't always get the headlines, but it makes highly reliable air conditioning with excellent inverter technology and R32 refrigerant. The domestic range splits neatly into two: the designer Haori and the value Seiya. Here's how to choose.
Toshiba Haori (designer)
The Haori is a genuine talking point — it wears a customisable textile cover available in a range of colours, so it can blend into (or stand out from) your interior. Beyond the looks it delivers first-class efficiency, near-silent output and Ag+ Plasma air purification. See the Haori.
Toshiba Seiya (value)
The Seiya is about honest value: quiet, efficient A++ cooling and heating in a clean, no-nonsense unit. If you want dependable comfort without paying for design flourishes, it's an excellent choice. See the Seiya.
| Model | Best for | Stands out for |
|---|---|---|
| Haori | Design-led rooms | Customisable textile finish, air purification, near-silent |
| Seiya | Value-focused rooms | A++ efficiency, quiet, keen price |
Our take: Toshiba is an underrated brand that deserves a place on your shortlist. Go Haori if you want a unit that doubles as an interior feature, Seiya if you want solid performance for less.
